Appointment Requests
We offer both telephone and Face to Face GP appointments. Please note that in order to direct you to the clinician who will best meet your needs you will be asked a number of questions by the reception staff. Please do your best to answer their questions so they can navigate you to the appriopritate clinician.
Please cancel your face to face appointment if you, or anyone you live with, have any symptoms of Covid 19 or are awaiting results of Covid 19 tests.
On the day appointment Requests
To request a same-day appointment you need to telephone the surgery at 8am any morning Monday- Friday we cannot guarantee an appointment on the day as we have different availability each day. You will be placed in a queuing system when you call and the number you are in the queue will not guarantee you an appointment but it will let you know how many patients are in front of you before you can speak to a receptionist.
A receptionist will do their best to advise you on your medical needs but this may mean they need to offer you an alternative option such as the Sheffield NHS Walk in centre or our HUB out of hour appointments.
Please note we cannot make on the day appointments for patients at the front desk you have to call the surgery once the phone lines open.
Routine Appointment Requests
we have pre-bookable face to face and telephone GP appointments. Either call us on 0114 242 6428 or come to the Reception desk to arrange an appointment.
Our clinicians can book evening or weekend appointments at other practices across the city for patients who need to be seen by a GP or nurse when this practice is closed.
Home Visits
The doctors can carry out home visits for patients who are housebound.
We ask you to call us as early as possible to arrange this so that we can assess the need for a visit the same day. However, this is at the doctor’s discretion and they will assess your situation over the telephone and advise you appropriately.
Nurse and Healthcare Assistant Appointments
Our experienced Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants are usually available to deal with the following:
- Diabetic and Asthma reviews
- Blood pressure checks
- Dressings changes, including suture (stitch) removal
- Immunisation and injections including childhood & flu vaccinations, medication injections eg B12 etc
- Contraception - including pills, emergency contraception, depo injections, coil checks
- Smear tests
- Annual health checks
- New patient medicals
- Blood Tests
- Diet and lifestyle advice including weight loss
Specialist Appointments
- Baby checks
- Postnatal Checks
- Contraceptive Coils and Implant fittings
- Health Checks for people with Learning Disabilities, Serious Mental Illness, Severe Frailty
- Structured Medication Reviews
- Mental Health assessments, therapy & support
Physiotherapy Appointments
We now have a Physiotherapist, who comes to surgery every Thursday. She can assess muscular aches and pains and provide a management plan for you.
Midwife appointments
Let us know as soon as you are pregnant and we will inform the midwife who will then contact you.
MAT B1 forms are given at over 20 weeks by your midwife, not by the Practice.
Other local healthcare services
Please note we do not provide dental services. Phone your dentist if you have dental problems: your NHS dentist is contracted to treat you for emergency and routine dental care. If you do not have a dentist then please call 111 who can arrange an appointment with an emergency dental service.
